Page 1 of 2 A Poem for Autumn written by Rosemary Girdler
Autumn
joy of autumn shot through with sunlight, and leaves once young and tender green now fall slowly dancing gold and yellow
unadulterated beauty in transition. from clouds of red and vibrant lemon in the trees to a carpet warm with russet shades of brown.
and as the trees begin their sleep of winter. the finale of a growthful season shows its wealth in a wondrous burst of richly gilded fireworks.
God’s grace is never failing and the sheer abundance of this visual harvest fills the eyes of all who see.
the autumn of our lives is there just waiting around the corner and not that far will we let the Lord express his goodness
as he seeks to take us home. can we show him our true colours be a radiant blessing before his throne.
